ALANYA COURTYARD VILLA
Alanya Courtyard Villa treats the garden not as a backdrop outside the house, but as an active living layer that moves through the plan. The core design challenge was to translate the Mediterranean rhythm of light, shade, and breeze into a spatial system that shapes everyday use rather than remaining a view to be watched. A series of internal courtyards brings daylight deep into the layout and supports cross-ventilation, linking the home’s programs through planted “outdoor rooms” and a continuous sense of movement. Inside, subtle level changes and double-height voids establish visual and physical continuity, so spaces connect as a flowing sequence instead of isolated boxes. Around the courtyards, layered thresholds - shaded, semi-open, and fully open - allow daily life to expand and contract with the hours, carrying morning coolness, midday shade, and evening breezes into the house.
The result is a porous, climate-responsive continuity: the house opens to the garden as the garden enters the house. The project was developed as a single narrative across architecture, interiors, and landscape concept.
